Thanks for visiting my blog. This page is chock-full of videos -- including some very recent work, some breaking news coverage and a full resume reel. I hope you'll take the time to scroll through them and see what I can offer you. Just click on each thumbnail to view the videos, which are most-functional in Internet Explorer and Firefox. Because they come straight from my station's website, many of them have advertising pre-roll built in.
I'm a North Carolina native, an award-winning journalist, a social media addict (Twitter, Facebook) and I get up every morning chomping at the bit to tell a compelling story, cover breaking news and spice up a live shot.
I can lead your newscasts. I can create a meaningful, tease-worthy moment for your B-block. And I can deliver exclusive interviews. I hope to hear from you soon. Feel free to email me any time!

Recent Work
(Note: These videos are best viewed in Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers.)
Few things get folks in the Piedmont (myself included!) as excited as NASCAR. And for the 2013 season, NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series will feature a new and, hopefully, more-competitive style of race car. The stars at the Triad's home team -- Richard Childress Racing -- told me that makes the fans this season's big winner.
From the campaign trail to Election Night in Charlotte and the swearing-in ceremony in Raleigh, no other Triad TV reporter more thoroughly covered Gov. Pat McCrory's journey to the Executive Mansion. And I was the only Piedmont reporter at the Capitol as McCrory officially took the reins.
An early-morning fire gutted an apartment building and left almost two dozen people homeless -- right at the start of a new year. But rather than feeling sorry for themselves, folks who lived there told me about their uplifting aim to make the most of an awful situation.
In another story you won't see anywhere else, a young girl who was seriously injured in a June car crash shares her amazing and inspiring progress. She's learning to walk again, and in four months' time has gone from being in a hospital bed to becoming a beauty queen.
In this story, I offer new details on the French family murders -- some of which I exclusively broke on Twitter, Facebook and my station's website hours before a news conference.
This story contains an exclusive interview with a woman whose son and daughter-in-law were murdered in their home back in February. Their murders are still unsolved, and their family has opened an ice cream shop to memorialize them. In the only television interview this mother has granted, she shares a powerful message for the killer.
Here, I report on exclusive details following an officer-involved shooting. I was the only reporter to learn the names of two women who were inside a car with the shooting suspect and the fact both women had been jailed. They were later charged for their involvement in the officer shooting.

Breaking News Reporting
(Note: These videos are best viewed in Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers.)
Just minutes after a news conference, our team battles technical difficulties and winds from Hurricane Sandy to deliver breaking details to our noon audience.
In this noon newscast, I report on a naked man who had engaged Greensboro police in lengthy standoff.
In another noon newscast, I offer breaking details as Greensboro police shut down several lanes of I-40 and investigate a potential mobile meth lab.
From in bed on a sick day to covering breaking news, the heart-wrenching story of a man who shot and killed his son and two other people (my role in team coverage begins at 3:25 mark).
